It all started with a Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce, made locally with fresh herbs and vegetables.
Our inspired chef was encouraged by her young son to market the sauce to the public.
Bella Specialty Foods, LLC was born with the first product line featuring our signature sauce:

Quanto é Bella - Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
"Fresh Ideas in Good Taste"

Two 14 oz. of Quanto e’ Bella Basil Sauce
One 9 oz. box of square “no boil” Noodles (or fresh square noodles)
Two cups of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese “part skim”
One 2 lb. container of Ricotta Cheese “part skim”
One 5 oz. container of Graded “3 Cheeses” (parmesan, asiago & romano)
One bunch of fresh parsley

2 eggs
1 tsp garlic salt coarse ground w/ parsley
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Place all 2 lbs of Ricotta cheese into a large bowl. Add eggs; salt; pepper; garlic salt & 2.5 oz of graded cheese into the mixture. Mix together. Wash fresh parsley & pull off florets (no stems), enough for a ½ a cup; chop into small parts & add to mixture.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Bake 45 minutes.

Using an 8 x11½ glass baking dish, put a small amount of Quanto é Bella Basil Tomato sauce onto the bottom of the glass dish & spread around evenly. Next, layer noodles evenly across the dish. Add Ricotta filling mixture by placing it evenly over top of the noodles. Now, put a layer of Quanto é Bella Basil Tomato sauce on top of this mixture. Then sprinkle some graded cheese & ½ cup of mozzarella cheese over top. Repeat another layer & be sure to place noodles in the opposite direction of the prior layer. As for the last layer, add noodles on top of the last of the filling. Just spread Quanto é Bella Basil Tomato sauce evenly over top of noodles; add ½ cup grading cheese & sprinkle graded cheese over top as well. Totaling 3 layers of noodles.

Cover with foil. Poke several holes into the foil so that the lasagna can steam a little.

Place dish into oven & check on the lasagna 45 minutes later. The lasagna should be bubbling, if not, leave in oven 5 more minutes or so. Remove from oven & place in an area where the lasagna can cool for 15 minutes. If you don’t let it cool down, it will fall apart as you are cutting separate servings.

Heat remaining Quanto é Bella Basil Tomato sauce in a pan & use over top of each serving as desired. Sprinkle a little grading cheese for flavor & appeal. Enjoy on behalf of Bella Specialty Foods, LLC!
